Declan finally decided that bath time isn't all that bad. For several weeks he would scream from the time we put him in the water until he was dressed and ready for bed. During the power outage he had a bath at my parents house and my mother was able to get him to enjoy his bath. In the last couple of weeks he has actually enjoyed his bath so much that he has fallen asleep in his little bath tub.
Declan had his two month check-up on May 9th. He is 12 lbs 5 oz and 23.5 inches long! He is in the 75th percentile so his weight and height growth are normal. The shots actually weren't as bad as we thought they might be as he only cried for a few seconds during each shot.....he's a tough little guy.
I'm a little behind on posting pictures so we'll start with Easter. Aunt Holly gave Declan the cutest Easter bunny onesie! He also got an Easter basket full of toys, books and onesies from GaGa and Ma.
It's hard to believe that our little one has already reached the one month mark! Declan has grown quite a bit since coming home from the hospital and now weighs 9 pounds 6 ounces. He has been on a few very short trips to Babies R Us and the grocery store. He loves going for walks around the neighborhood and usually starts closing his eyes before we even make it out of the house. We're staying on our "Baby Wise" schedule and Declan has even started sleeping for a five hour stretch at night. His daily meltdown seems to always happen while we're eating dinner but other than that he is a very happy baby. Here are a few new pictures....
Declan had his first photo session with Christa when he was six days old! He slept through the entire session. All of the pictures are wonderful but here are a few of our favorites.
Declan had his two week check-up this past Wednesday. He weighed 8 lbs 7 oz and is 20 inches long. He only has 3 more ounces to go to be back at his birth weight...close enough that we were able to drop one of his nighttime feedings!! We are all enjoying the extra sleep! A couple of pictures from the last week are posted below.
